Skin Booster Injections in Bukit Bintang: Rejuran, Profhilo Prices (2026)

"Skin booster" is a marketing category, not a single product. Rejuran is a polynucleotide injectable derived from salmon DNA fragments, marketed on tissue repair and sold in Malaysia mostly as Rejuran Healer or Rejuran S. Profhilo is a stabilised hyaluronic acid formulation marketed on bio-remodelling โ€” hydration and skin laxity rather than volume.

In Bukit Bintang a "skin booster" can mean a single Rejuran vial for under RM1,500 or a two-syringe Profhilo course past RM6,000, sold from clinics a five-minute walk apart inside the same shopping block. The receipts are not lying to each other โ€” they are pricing different products.

One label, two different injectables

They are dosed differently, which is most of why the price ranges do not line up. Rejuran is usually sold as a course of three to four sessions a month apart. Profhilo is typically two sessions a month apart, then an annual top-up. Neither is interchangeable with dermal filler, and neither is a substitute for a medical assessment of what your skin actually needs.

What Rejuran costs in Malaysia

What Profhilo costs

Profhilo tends to run higher per unit because a full treatment area typically needs one syringe per side, and the formulation itself carries a higher list price than Rejuran.

Why Bukit Bintang pricing sits where it does

Our Klang Valley venue directory lists 214 beauty and aesthetic addresses tagged to Bukit Bintang: 59 nail bars, 57 spa and massage venues, 51 hair salons and 47 aesthetic addresses, of which 22 are registered on maps as skin-care clinics and a further 13 as general medical clinics.

The clinic layer clusters inside three retail landmarks rather than spreading evenly across the district. The Pavilion KL beauty hall on Level 7 holds several skin-care clinics under one roof, Starhill Gallery carries its own aesthetic-clinic floor, and Fahrenheit88 adds a third pocket a short walk away. Rent at all three sits closer to flagship retail than to a typical shoplot, and quoted syringe prices in this pocket commonly run 15โ€“20 percent above what the same brand of injectable costs in a Cheras or Kepong clinic with identical qualifications behind the needle.

That premium buys location and often a longer track record, not a different product. It is a reasonable trade for some patients and not for others โ€” the point is knowing it exists before comparing two quotes that look far apart.

What to verify before you book

Both Rejuran and Profhilo are administered by injection, which in Malaysia restricts the procedure to a registered medical practitioner. Since 2013, aesthetic medical practice has been gated by the Letter of Credentialing and Privileging (LCP) issued by the Ministry of Health, renewed every three years. Ask when the treating doctor's LCP was last renewed, not only whether one exists.

Separately, ask whether the product itself is registered with the Medical Device Authority (MDA) under its listed brand name. Grey-market vials sold under a genuine-sounding name are the most common way patients in this category end up paying clinic prices for an unregistered product.

Five questions make two quotes comparable rather than just two numbers. Is the price per syringe or per session, and how many syringes does my area need? Which brand and which product line โ€” Rejuran Healer, Rejuran S, or a Profhilo variant? Is the injecting practitioner a registered doctor, and when was their LCP last renewed? Is the product MDA-registered under that name? What does the full course cost once maintenance is included, not just the first visit?

Common questions

Is Rejuran or Profhilo cheaper overall?
Rejuran usually has the lower entry price per session, but its course runs three to four sessions against Profhilo's two, so total course cost can land close either way. Compare the full course price, not the per-session headline.

Why does Bukit Bintang cost more than nearby areas for the same brand?
Mall-podium rent inside Pavilion, Starhill and Fahrenheit88 is priced like flagship retail. The 15โ€“20 percent gap against a shoplot clinic elsewhere in the Klang Valley reflects address, not a different formulation.

Can a beautician or aesthetician perform a skin booster injection?
No. Both products are injectables and legally require a registered medical practitioner in Malaysia. A clinic that assigns this to non-medical staff is a warning sign, not a cost saving.

How soon do results show, and is one session enough?
Most published guidance describes a course rather than a single visit for either product, with results building over weeks. Whether one session is ever sufficient is a clinical judgement for the treating doctor after seeing your skin.
